Jujutsu School Anomalies Guide: Gate Tells and Correct Responses

Spot Jujutsu School anomalies at the gate: the close-shutter-and-wait rule, reported tells from playthroughs, the Suguru Geto bell response, and which visitors to stamp through.

Quick answer

If a visitor at the Jujutsu High gate feels off, do not let them in — close the shutter immediately, stay completely still, and wait until you are certain they have left. If anything resembling Suguru Geto approaches, ring the bell immediately. Then match each tell against the inspection table below.

  • Anomalies are curses waiting outside the gate: “curses categorized as Anomalies” are trying to get into the school, and “their intentions are unknown” (official game description).
  • The gate briefing warns of “strange curses lurking just outside that gate tonight” that copy real people so well the staff can't tell what they are.
  • The listing foreshadows the main threat: “the man known as Suguru Geto may not be who he seems.”
  • Jujutsu School is an alpha work-in-progress, so anomaly behaviors can change between updates — recheck the tells after each patch.

The gate rule for any suspicious visitor

Redeem steps

  • Check IDs carefully

“Normally, only approved sorcerers and teachers are allowed inside. Check their IDs carefully.”

  • Expect mimicry

The curses outside imitate real people convincingly enough that the briefing admits nobody knows how they do it.

  • Act on suspicion

“If someone approaches and something feels off, do not let them in.”

  • Close the shutter and stay completely still

“Close the shutter door immediately and stay completely still.”

  • Wait it out

“Wait until you are certain they have left.”

  • Don't over-reject

The briefing needs every single student for “a highly classified operation,” so do not mistakenly reject an actual student.

Reported tells and the checks that catch them

Every tell below is a playthrough observation, not official in-game documentation — and none of it is a complete anomaly roster. Treat each one as a trigger to slow down and inspect before stamping.

The Suguru Geto mimic: ring the bell

First session flow

Step 1

Hear Gojo's warning: his six eyes sense Geto's cursed energy outside, “but my soul knows otherwise.”

Know the flagship threat before it reaches the booth.

Step 2

Take the bell: “If a person resembling Suguru Geto approaches, ring this bell immediately.”

Carry the counter-item for the whole shift.

Step 3

Recognize the approach — the mimic arrives as a polite Geto asking to collect cursed objects: “Pardon the intrusion.”

Match it against the warning that Geto “may not be who he seems.”

Step 4

Ring the bell to “disrupt its cursed energy and stun it long enough to make it out alive.”

The bell stuns, it doesn't end the fight — playthroughs show the bell used repeatedly through a multi-phase encounter (“Round two”), with the mimic taunting that “mere bell won't be enough to save you.”

What a wrong decision costs

Checklist

  • Admitting an anomaly breaches the gate

Failure feedback includes the result message “Correct visitor. Visitor rejected. Anomaly breached.”

  • Mistakes escalate the lurking threat

Playthrough reports tie repeated errors to the thing outside getting closer: “if the more mistakes I make, the more whatever the hell that is, comes out.”

  • Some admissions only register too late

“I should not have let that go in” — and after the helicopter-headed visitor: “I've actually made a terrible mistake.”

  • Rejecting a real student is punished too

The briefing needs every single student for “a highly classified operation,” so mistakenly rejecting an actual student counts as an error.

  • Wrong grade stamps hurt both sides

“Using the wrong stamp will ruin both their performance and your shift performance.” The on-screen correction reads “Wrong grade zero” and “Use a stamp that corresponds to visitor's grade.”

  • Later shifts won't be easier

After the early shifts the game warns “It won't be this easy next time.”

Only these qualitative consequences show up in playthroughs; exact score, penalty, or game-over numbers aren't stated anywhere in them.

Known legitimate visitors — stamp them through

Tips

The impatient teacher

Genuine despite the attitude: “I need my entry pass stamped. I'm a teacher, not a student. Make it quick, please. I'm already in a bad mood from dealing with Gojo.”

Panda

A second-year student with the paperwork to back it: “Principal Yaga signed off on this.”

Gojo

Appears as a genuine visitor: “Anyway, stamp me through” — with the quip that “a curse could be sneaking up right behind you.” One run confirms him: “Okay, you are the real Gojo.”

Canon students

Yuji, Yuta, and Toge appear as genuine visitors with permits and should be admitted; one run stamps Megumi as grade two.

Inspect every Gojo

A Gojo-like figure with his blindfold off also appears unexpectedly and is treated as an anomaly. Playthroughs don't show how the real Gojo was told apart from that mimic, so judge each visit on its own inspection.
